Age: 1 Year – 2 Years

In the toddler stage, children portray infinite energy and curiosity. During this period, toddlers begin to learn how to communicate and express themselves through hand signals and simple words. They become further aware of their surroundings and environment. The Creative Curriculum used in the classroom combines teacher‐planned and child‐initiated learning, emphasizing responsiveness to children’s strengths, interests and diverse learning styles.

Daily lessons focus on language development, communication, fine and gross motor skills, among others. Their schedule is broken into parts to ensure there are plenty of opportunities for fine motor practice, open-ended play, social interactions, and learning through art. Many of our little ones learn to eat by themselves in this stage as they build independence.
