Age: 4 years on or before September 1st
The curriculum for this specific program is specially designed to involve children in experiences that enhance their critical thinking and communication skills along with their innate ability to “think outside the box.” Through developmentally appropriate, hands-on activities, children reinforce skills while at the same time acquiring the academic knowledge needed to succeed in Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). The students are also taught specific writing skills along with letter-sound correspondence; they learn to correctly spell their names and fully recognize each of the letters of the alphabet (a skill that was taught in Pre-K 3 in preparation for VPK).
